Sirens and Shields raises more than $9,000 for the American Red Cross

The third annual Sirens and Shields auction raised more than $9,000 for the American Red Cross, as well as benevolent associations for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Charlotte Fire Department.

Held on the Epicentre Rooftop Pavilion on March 20, six bachelors and six bachelorettes from the American Red Cross and Charlotte police and fire stations volunteered in auctioning off packages with donated items, gift certificates and unique services from local businesses.

Organized by Club Red, the young professional’s affiliate of the American Red Cross, Sirens and Shields hosted around 250 young professionals.

“I had a blast on Saturday,” said Jill Fallon, a member of Club Red.  Fallon said she thought the event ran smoothly and the location was perfect.

The event was sponsored by ZX Fitness, Howl at the Moon and the Ballantyne Corporate Park.
