Losing a friend of the Red Cross

One of our dedicated Transportation Services members, Russell McIntosh, passed away last week.

Red Cross Transportation Manager Sandra Peake wrote this after learning of Russell’s death:

Russell was a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross Transportation Services department for eight years. It was evident that he really enjoyed helping people. Russell drove 2-5 days a week, sometimes logging more than 50 hours a week. Each time he’d come in, he would come into my office. I would say, “Hey man, how are you?” and his answer would always be, “Glad to be here – happy to help.”

Russell was an icon in this department, and he will truly be missed by us all. Please keep Russell’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
